In the early 1980's, Sharp Electronics Corporation, along with a few of their VAR.'s, developed some of the first electronic cash registers with real communications capabilities. However, there remained a great need for dependable off the shelf software solutions.  That is where Advanced Computer Sales, Inc. stepped in with the first version of the Positrac Inventory software.

    Throughout the late 80's and early 90's, we continued to enhance our software.  One major area of expansion involved developing specialized Inventory systems for the Liquor,  Convenience, and Grocery store markets.  This was accomplished with the

aide and advice of many who worked in these industries.

    We also included such modules as Accounts Receivable, Bad Check Accounting, Barcode Labeling, Employee Timekeeping, and Hand Held Terminal.

    In 1995, Advanced Computer Sales, Inc. committed much of it programming efforts to developing a line of Positrac software for the new Microsoft 32bit Windows operating system. This new Positrac 5 program was not simply ported code from the DOS versions, but redesigned and rewritten file structures and program code to provide features not possible in earlier versions.
